Scherrer
Jean-Louis Scherrer (1935-2013) was a French couturier whose elegant designs were a favorite among the wealthy and glamourous. An early stint with famed house Christian Dior had him working alongside Yves Saint Laurent. Both would go on to form their own fashion houses and become celebrated designers in the 1960s.
Scherrer remained an active brand for licensed products, including fragrances, for a number of years. The designer passed away in 2013.
Signature fragrance Jean-Louis Scherrer was launched in 1979, a women’s chypre fragrance that became an enduring classic and was the first in a series of fragrances for both men and women over the years. The earliest edition was created in 1979 and the newest is from 2015.
Designer Jean-Louis Scherrer has around 10 perfumes.
